MIDTERM - LABORATORY ASSIGNMENT

Image
My own experience in our Information Management class in the first week was fun and a little bit nervous. Because in our first week , we all do the introduction in front of Ma'am Meyer also in the class. I am very shy at that moment because i have a lot of new classmates and i really don't even know their names yet and need to socialize with them. All of my new classmate are laughing when my other classmate is making fun of his/her introduction in front. We do not discuss yet because Ma'am Meyer wants us to be comfortable so that we can socialize normally with each other.     In our next meet , we already start the discussion about the database components and functions. I am enjoying listening to Ma'am Meyer because we don't have this kind of subject in the first semester. I can learn quickly because our teacher is very good at teaching even if sometimes our meet have a little problems when it comes to the connection. But its not a big deal sinc...

 A. Engage A. What is a Database? A database management system (DBMS) is a software-defined system that manages databases, in contrast to database administration, which refers to a set of best practices. Microsoft Access and FileMaker Pro are two common database management programs. Users in this system are in charge of the data in a database and have the ability to read, change, create, and remove data as necessary. A database management system functions as an interface, giving end users access to their databases and allowing them to arrange and access the data as needed. It is in charge of looking after the data, the engine that enables users to access the data inside the database, and what is referred to as the database schema, or the database's organizational structure. A DBMS together provides security and guarantees data integrity, but some systems are also used to provide automated rollbacks and restart, log, and audit database activities. B. What Type of Software is Mi...

MIDTERM - LECTURE ACTIVITY EXERCISES

The collection of information is what we refer to as data in computer language. Data is a term used to describe any facts with the ability to be recorded and implicit significance. The database, on the other hand, is a grouping of connected data. These subjects are studied by DBMS, or database management systems. We shall discuss the objective of having a database management system and the function of DBMS in the part that follows. The enhanced data consistency and integrity of a DBMS is one of its main benefits. A DBMS ensures that all data is accurate and consistent by enforcing rules and restrictions on it. To avoid duplicate entries, a DBMS can be programmed to only permit unique values in a given field. To further improve the integrity of the data, DBMSs also offer a variety of methods for data validation, including check constraints and triggers. Costs of Hardware and Software: This is the biggest drawback of a DBMS system. A database management system needs processing powe...

  A. Engage What tasks does a DBMS perform? Data is stored, retrieved, and questioned using database management systems (DBMS), which are computer programs. An end-user and a database can communicate with each other through a database management system (DBMS), which enables users to add, read, edit, and remove data in databases. The benefits of database management systems enable users to swiftly, efficiently, and securely transfer data throughout a company. A data management system makes it possible to access more accurate data by quickly responding to database requests. The database management system's initial drawback is this. This is so that DBMS can function properly, which requires both a fast processor and a huge amount of memory. Because of the vast amounts of data that must be stored securely and safely in today's world across all industries. B. EXPLORE & EXPLAIN Answer the following questions: 1. What are the different components of dbms? Components of a data...
