Webinar: ”ICT Project Management”

I. Details of the event/activity

My experience with the "ICT Project Management" webinar focused on an in-depth study of the organized framework used to guide technology projects. The workshop effectively described the whole period of an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) project, from original concept to ultimate execution. The discussion focused on the five fundamental phases of the project lifecycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Control, and Closing) and provided significant insight into how different methodologies, such as the rigid Waterfall model versus the flexible Agile/Scrum framework, influence the pace and nature of work in each phase. II. Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)

Attending this webinar gave me important ideas that illustrate the complexity of current ICT project management. I quickly realized that the process is more than just a linear checklist; it is a strategic management concept. The primary lesson learned was the need of early risk reduction, since the cost of resolving any difficulties increases rapidly later in the process. III. Reflections on Possibilities on Implementing Some of the Webinar Input on a Practical Level (Practical Application of Learnings)

The knowledge I learned during the session has had a direct impact on my approach to future projects, revealing clear options for practical execution. I want to use the Agile ideas that covered to redesign my development process. I will now
manage the first Requirements and Design processes, resulting in a disciplined Software Requirements Specification.
IV. Positive Feedback (on the event organization) I was very happy with how well the webinar was organized and executed. The presenter provided a very clear overview of the often-complicated ICT project lifecycle procedures and projected outcomes. A significant strength was the use of comparative case studies to demonstrate whether a team should employ a Waterfall vs an Agile methodology, which made complex topics appear more understandable and practical. The speaker's clear example of how proper initial documentation (Planning and Analysis) is critical to minimizing scope creep was also very helpful. V. Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities I have a suggestion that I feel will enhance the session's hands-on value for future attendees. To strengthen the connection between ICT project management theory and actual, real-world application, I strongly recommend incorporating a specialized, quick part on a specific SDLC tool. Like setting up a simple project board in Jira or Trello to manage tasks across the key phases. VI. Photos/Videos Taken
