SEMINAR 2 - SparkCon ”The Next Wave of Innovation”

I. Details of the event/activity

I took part in SparkCon: “The Next Wave of Innovation,” a seminar focused on the latest trends and actual work experiences in the IT field. The event brought in professionals from different areas of tech to talk about what it is really like to work in the industry. They shared stories about their daily jobs, what companies expect from new hires, and how to work well in a team. The main goal was to help students understand the difference between learning in a classroom and working in a real office. II. Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)

The seminar helped me see that being good at coding or technical tasks is only one part of the job. The speakers explained that to do well in IT, you also need to be good at talking to people, working with a team, and staying calm when things get difficult. I realized that technology changes so fast that you have to keep learning new things even after you graduate. Hearing from people who are already working in the field made me feel more motivated to work on my habits and my mindset while I am still in school. III. Reflections on Possibilities on Implementing Some of the Webinar Input on a Practical Level (Practical Application of Learnings)

I plan to use what I learned by taking my school projects more seriously. I will work on how I talk to my classmates during group work and try to manage my time better to prepare for a real job. I also want to spend more of my free time looking into new tools and tech trends that we don’t cover in class. By building these habits now, I hope to be more confident and ready when it is time for me to start my career. IV. Positive Feedback (on the event organization)
The event was very helpful and well-organized. It was great to hear directly from people who have years of experience in the tech world. They used simple examples that were easy to follow, which made their advice much more useful. I liked how the seminar showed us why our studies matter in the real world and gave us a clear idea of what our future could look like.
V. Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities Everything was handled well, and I especially liked the open forum where we could ask questions. For the next event, one thing to improve would be the delivery of registration perks. It is important to make sure that everyone who signs up—especially those who paid for VIP access—receives everything they were promised on time. Fixing this small detail would make the experience even better for everyone.
